Each page should have a meta description, which is a brief summarization of that page’s content. This information is paired with your title tag to display under the headline in search results. A good meta description should integrate specific keywords while telling the end user exactly what they should expect to learn or accomplish on that page.

Meta Keywords

This is a list of keywords that isn’t visible on the page, but works in your page’s source code to help describe your website. As search engines evolved, keywords have since lost their importance in SEO due to shady practices by some web developers, but they still play a small role in enhancing your website’s search rankings.

3. Enhance Website Speed and Performance

Content and keywords are king, but your website’s speed and performance also have a direct impact on search ranking. Review your pages and to ensure you’re not using any unnecessary plugins or scripts that would create more HTTP requests.

Enable Caching

Page caching helps improve the load time of your website and pages. When you enable caching on your website, you’re allowing a browser or server to store a recent copy of your page, so when someone visits your page, the site loads quicker, even if some portions of your page still have to update. This helps improve your website’s search rankings.

Use a CDN

A CDN, or Content Delivery Network, helps your website load faster by caching portions of your website’s content on servers across the globe. This puts users geographically closer to your website’s files. And, the closer their device is to the source, the faster the website loads on that device. There are free CDNs, including CloudFlare, which has a reputation for being one of the best. Your hosting provider may also offer a CDN service.
