DAVE UNEDITED
Pet Peeve:
The unexplainable overuse of the apostrophe. We are the Fiores, not the Fiore’s.
Favorite TV Show:
The Office. I have watched it through an embarrassing number of times. It is like comfort food or a friend I like hanging out with. (That sounded very sad.)
Scared of:
Disappointing someone. Missing an opportunity. Knowing there is a spider in my car, but I don’t know where it is.
First College Major:
Music. I was going to be a high-school band director.
When Not in the Office…
Hanging out with my family and/or walking the dog just long enough to avoid starting any home projects.
Dave Fiore’s first byline came in the seventh grade when his English teacher surprised him by publishing his book report on “The Call of the Wild” in the school paper. A love of writing was born that year, as was an attachment to light blue corduroy and earth shoes. With his keen fashion sense intact, Dave has merged his 25 years’ experience as a professional writer, editor and accredited public relations professional into the foundation of an integrated marketing firm that has found a significant niche in the vast world of marketing options.
With a career focused squarely on the creation of great content, Dave learned about writing on a deadline as a marketing writer at the Tallahassee Democrat; learned to value the discipline as well as the art of good writing as editor of Tallahassee Magazine and learned the power of helping clients tell their story as a senior account manager with RB Oppenheim Associates.
As founder and CEO of Fiore Communications, Dave remains committed to providing clients with results-oriented marketing that serves their overall goals and long-term vision. He is grateful for his talented team members and outstanding clients who have allowed the business to thrive for the past 20 years.
Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Florida State University, where he met his wife, Robyn, in the Marching Chiefs. They have been married more than 36 years and have six wonderful children ranging in age from 17 to 31 and a grandson named Henry.
